Wear Your Voice Magazine’s newest campaign is genius and something everyone would watch. #FightFatPhobia sheds light on all the fat phobic comments that women have to endure; not only from random men in bars, or people at grocery stores, but even their own family and friends who say inappropriate things.

The reality of being of a curvy woman is that you have to deal with a lot from the inside and out. You’re constantly surrounded by images of people that don’t look like you, and encouraged to fit into a certain mold, let alone the silent battles in your mind telling you how to be. And in an effort to silence those voices, activist Rachel Otis has spearheaded this campaign to change the way people think that curve women deal with hurtful comments.

The video shows women sharing about 33 comments, that prove for some people being considered curvy is a horrible thing and the worst thing that could ever happen to someone. Otis commented, “In order to release shame, I firmly believe in reclaiming it. Speaking it. Breathing the eff through it and letting other womyn know that they are not alone. They are seen; they are heard; they are appreciated; and they are loved just as they are.” Watch the video below and tell us what you think in the comments.
