Today is the final day of Milan Fashion Week. (You know Milan, which is in Italy, which is Europe.) No matter what the cool new groove thang to wear is for Fall 2016, exclusion soldiers on as one of the fashion industry’s most progress-proof little trendlets. This month, there were glimmers of hope as there are with every season, but when you look at all the model appearances, on balance, this season’s fashion shows still weren’t the greatest place to find diversity.

As the endless procession of runway models comes to a close for now, here to talk about how they feel when they look at runway models are five women in their 20s. In this video, they each talk about the traits they often see on runways, who they’d like to see getting their shine on, and what it would take for the industry to embrace unity for a change.
