For the past several years the fashion industry has been a constant revolving door. This past week was no different.
Who’s Out:
Clare Waight Keller announced she would be exiting Chloe after being the Creative Director for the house for the past 6 years. Her last collection for the house will be presented during Paris fashion week on March 2nd. Though the reasoning behind her leaving is unknown one would assume her recent move of her family back to London and the constant commute to Paris would grow tiring. Her successor is still unknown.
Riccardo Tisci after many months of his rumored departure from Givenchy has finally made it official. His last couture collection took place on January 20th for the design house. His successor is still unknown.
Ralph Lauren CEO, Stefan Larsson has stepped down which will take effect on May 1st due to clash with its founder over strategic differences.
Tiffany’s CEO, Frederic Cumenal steps down amid poor financial returns.
Who’s In:
Daniella Vitale has been promoted to CEO of Barney’s NY as Mark Lee’s successor. Mark Lee will now be named Executive Chairman.
Who’s Next:
The designers circling the chairs of all the openings are plenty and only as of now just rumors: Clare Waight Keller, Hedi Slimane (who recently departed YSL) and Virgil Abloh creative director of Off White. As for Ricardo Tisci he has been rumored to being courted by Donatella Versace.
