On Sunday evening, over 111 million people tuned in to watch the Super Bowl. If you were one of those people then you probably saw Lady Gaga’s epic halftime performance. She was flipping through the air, playing instruments, dancing her butt off, and she even jumped off stage while catching a football.
If you only watched the Super Bowl for the commercials then you got even more Gaga action. In addition to taking over halftime, the superstar also appeared in Tiffany & Co.’s first Super Bowl ad. The black and white commercial features Lady Gaga draped in the new Tiffany HardWear collection.
“As fiercely feminine as the new Tiffany HardWear collection, the legendary Lady Gaga captures the spontaneity and creative spirit of New York City,” according to the Tiffany’s website. In the ad itself Gaga talks about being from New York City and how special a Tiffany’s experience is. She also talks about expressing her creativity by always “challenging the status quo.” Gaga goes on to say how she does not feel that it’s pretentious to talk about how creative you are and how she think it’s actually “empowering and important.”
The Tiffany HardWear collection features gold and sterling silver ball-and-chain-inspired necklaces, bracelets, and rings. The price range varies for these items from $400-$9,500. There is also a gorgeous pair of 18k gold “Triple Drop Earrings.” The current pre-sale price for them is $2,500 and they are the featured item that appears on Lady Gaga during the commercial.
The collection is elegant, yet has a very industrial aesthetic as well and with Lady G’s testimony, it makes them even more tempting. Of course this collection is on the higher, more luxurious end of the price scale, but the new advertising has definitely reminded us of that special feeling a little blue box can give.
