Do you need some ideas and inspiration? Do you want to go outside the box this year? If so, check out some of these unique Valentine’s Day gift ideas.
1. Get personalized to give him a gift he can never forget. There are many ways to do this, as the internet has a plethora of options for you to choose from. Some you can do yourself, and others you can have ordered. While it may be too late this year to order a personalized mug or pillow (unless you find someplace local), you can still get creative and create your own. Personalizing his favorite wine or beer, candy bar(s), and other items you can do yourself if you have a decent printer and some time.
2. Make a mix tape of songs that remind you of him and your relationship with each other. Add in songs that both of you enjoy listening together. How you create this ‘mix-tape’ is up to you. You can go whole on the hog and buy him an MP3 player with your playlist preloaded. You could also put your playlist on an SD card, CD, or on a cassette tape. For some of you, creating and gifting a mix-tape can bring you down memory lane.
3. Preserve your memories and special moments as a couple by creating a time capsule. What you put in there is totally up to you. You can include photographs, poems, ticket stubs, or even a good ole’ fashion mixtape. Depending on where and how you ‘store’ this time capsule should dictate what you use for a container. If you feel like you guys are in it for the long haul, burying memories to uncover later in time is a great way to seal your love for one another.
4. Go DIY! Giving anyone a gift that you handcrafted yourself is always a good choice. You put your time, energy and your love into the gift, and it shows! Plus, if you have the creative talent, flaunt it and use it. Find things that he likes, and use that as your guide. Make him a tool roll so he can keep his tools organized in one spot, or make him a camera strap so he can protect his investment. Making your boyfriend his favorite pastries or a pie doesn’t hurt either and is always a welcome idea. The way to a man’s heart is often through his stomach after all!
5. Get him a gift that is unique to him, and shows that you pay attention to his needs and that you care. These are the best kind of gifts. However, what to get will depend on the individual, so tailor this gift to your significant other. Maybe he lives in a city and often has difficulty finding parking. In this situation, reserving a parking space would be a thoughtful and helpful gift. This is only one example, but the sky is the limit with this one. You just have to tailor it to your partner’s needs. Good luck!
