Despite your political views or what side you were supporting you have to take a moment and truly take in the fashion of this day. The fashion major in me just can not look away.
Starting the morning at St. John’s Church for a service preceding the Inauguration ceremony, where Donald J. Trump took the oath of office to become the United States’ 45th president, our now First Lady Melania Trump swooned us in American fashion. Wearing a simply exquisite sky blue cashmere suit by Ralph Lauren. Melania accessorized her outfit with a clutch and elbow-length gloves that were all the same hue of blue. She kept her jewelry to sizable diamond earrings. I loved everything about this look. It was classic, timeless, classy, and simply beautiful. The ode to Jacqueline Kennedy was clear.
The style didn’t stop there. This evening First Lady Melania Trump, took her hair down as she arrived at the inaugural ball in a vanilla crepe off-the-shoulder gown accented with a red silk ribbon at the waist by Hervé Pierre. Sources say the gown was a collaboration between herself and Hervé Pierre, who is the former creative director of Carolina Herrera.
