You may be familiar with having a mimosa during a blowout or a glass of wine when you’re getting a pedicure, but do you really need alcohol while you’re at a salon?
It’s a salon, not a saloon, right?
What’s the problem? Well, don’t you think you should have a license in order to serve alcohol in the first place?
There are thousands of beauty parlors and barber shops in California, and it just doesn’t seem right for them to be able to serve alcoholic beverages without a license.
And there are so many children and teens in salons and barber shops with their parents. Do you want them to be exposed to that at a young age and when they’re just getting their haircuts too? Plus, if you’re getting a haircut and downing a couple glasses of beer, who’s going to drive you (and maybe your kids) home?
Sure, it’s nice to relax while you’re getting your hair done, but alcohol isn’t necessary for that. You can have a drink before or after your hair appointment, so why have one while you’re there? Plus, haircuts are pretty pricey so paying for more alcohol is only going to get you a higher bill.
Save the tabs for saloons, not salons.
