In the past couple weeks, I’ve reported a lot about about brands like ASOS and Boohoo coming under fire for their lack of consideration for body diversity when it comes to the curve community. But brands like Fashion to Figure are trying to change that conversation, and show women that there isn’t just one curve body type that should be praised.
In their new denim campaign, ‘How We Do Denim’, that features influencers like Sarah Rae Vargas, Francis Dive, Essie Golden, Denise Mercedes and Nicole Simone. Though we have yet to try a pair for ourselves, we’ve heard that they have that perfect balance of stretch and sturdy fit, and at an affordable price.
Michael Kaplan, Co-Founder and CEO of Fashion to Figure said in a press statement, “At FTF, we believe fashion is a state of mind, not a size range. Our goal is to create great fitting fashion items at terrific value for the woman whose desire is to feel confident through amazing style. Denim is the fastest growing item in the plus market and it’s also a fall essential. This campaign shows off how girls ‘in the know’ select and style denim. Fashion, fit, quality and price is a winning combination and we’ve definitely achieved that with this collection.” Excited to try them, and excited to see a brand understand that offering a range of fits for curvy women isn’t just a trend but a necessity.
