Packing makeup for traveling can seem difficult. You don’t want things to break. You don’t want things to spill. You don’t want to bring large bottles of things. There are so many factors that go into it, but here are a some tips to help you not stress about packing anymore.
Keep brushes together
No matter what kind of brush holder you use, just keep them together. This will help you find them easier and ensure that you don’t lose any.
If you can find a long, cylindrical container, that’d be the best. It’ll help keep the shape of your brushes from bending in transit, and the container shape is perfect for packing since you rolled your clothes. You did roll your clothes to save room, right?
Find a cosmetic carrying case with pockets
This may look like a regular cosmetics bag, but once you open it, you’ll find that it has multiple compartments.
Use larger pockets for eye shadow palettes. Be sure you pack them in tightly so that the shadows don’t crack in transit!
Use individual pockets for smaller items like jars and glass bottles.
Don’t let leftover space go to waste! Fill up the rest of the bag so that you can take as many items with you. Or I guess you could leave it empty if you plan to buy more makeup on your trip.
Size matters
No matter if you’re traveling light or traveling with your whole makeup kit, be sure you remember cosmetic bag sizes. It doesn’t matter if you pack four small makeup bags, six large ones or a large and a small one. Just figure out what fits best where. Most importantly, don’t forget about liquid sizes when you travel via airplane.
