If you don’t clean your makeup brushes, you will get pregnant and die.
Okay, not really, but come on. I know it’s a pain in the butt. I realize you don’t have time.
Honestly, you are doing that gorgeous face a disservice if you aren’t making sure that blush brush is squeaky clean.
And by disservice, what I really mean is that you are putting a world of bacteria right back on your skin every time you use a dirty makeup brush. Actual bacteria. Staph infection inducing bacteria. Ew.
Real talk, if you are suffering from breakouts and you have tried every sulfur/salicylic/mandelic acid wash under the sun, your brushes may be the culprit. You just need to clean them with a baby shampoo or brush cleanser weekly. At least monthly. That is not a lot to ask.
Dirt ruins your color application, kills the life of your brushes, and makes brushes perfect carriers for bacteria and fungus (especially if you keep yours in the bathroom). What you put in the toilet could wind up on your face. Let that sink in.
Yeah. You should be grossed out. We aren’t typically about reprimanding, but seriously. If you have not cleaned your brushes in a while, go do that.
Right now.
