Spring’s bright and happy flowers usually pop up on our clothes in a print, but Christopher Kane just showed his resort collection, and there they were as the TOTAL LOOK worn in loose and breezy shapes, making the runways look like round-up of floating Georgia O-Keefe paintings.
The runway had business attire and a hologram jacket, but the standout look was flowers, which could have looked like a Spring Follies costume for a child but Chris you nailed it. The designer showed plenty of pansy-forward looks, making the whole show look like a field of pansies suitable for Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz gang to get sleepy in. There was a dress with voluminous blood-red shoulders, a soft petal sleeveless dress with cascading silks with gigantic flowers on them, and of course a classic Christopher Kane flower-forward sweatshirt. We loved that the beauty was so clean and dewy, you know, like a forest sprite should be.
Are you down to clown in a flower as your whole outfit?
