Just the other day, we were the first to fangirl over Dascha’s braless House of CB dress, and examine the wonders of her look for People en Espanol’s 50 Most Beautiful People party.
Incidentally, Venezuela based Univision host, another lovely, Daniela Di Giacomo wore the same thing. Giacomo lightheartedly said this on social media “#B*tchStoleMyLook!” She then followed up with a good natured comment, “Hahaha typical you reach the #alfombra of #peopleenespanol of #los50masbellos and you get the beautiful bombshell #DaschaPolanco using the same dress! Puesss I say, we have the same taste! #loveher.” No issue whatsoever there.
But according to the message Dascha posted yesterday, male host Univision El Gordo y la Flaca decided to have a field day by comparing their bodies, because what could be more important than noting two women are different.
On Instagram, Dascha, one of RunwayRiot’s best celebrities on body image, had this to say on the matter. Class act that she is directed it back to the cause of the night.
“It’s really tasteless to come across today that a host of @univision @elgordoylaflaca have used poor choices of words that have become offensive. They have created an environment in which it has ignited bullying across their platforms & has instigated against my weight due to the same dress being worn by one of their host and I last night. Interesting that they chose to glorify something so superficial like this, and not focus on the issues Latinos face in Hollywood. I don’t get how they allow their reporters to use profanity to make noise.”
Of course something as superficial was glorified like this, and of course it’s a totally non-essential thing to do on an important affair for accomplished people. We’ve said it before, we’re over who wore it best. Obvious things: 1. both women looked glorious obviously, 2. weight comparison is silly and reduces your fun vibes.
