While it may be smart to try and capitalize off of all the Lemonade traffic that sites are getting, it’s really dumb to use a photo of Beyoncé and edit it so heavily that people are then begging you to take it down out of respect for her.

God she might not be, but #Lemonade proves that it’s still @Beyonce’s world, and we just live in it. See more on wmag.com. #Beyonce photographed by @PatrickDemarchelier, styled by @AlexWhiteEdits; W Magazine July 2011.

Looks like this picture was Instagrammed on W Magazine’s account late last night, and was originally shot by famed fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier in 2011. But fans like myself quickly noticed what appeared to be the horrible photoshop job on her thighs. I mean it’s Beyoncé we’re talking about. One of the things people love most about her is that she has curves, a bootylicious body and breasts just like the rest of us. So when brands like W Magazine strip that away from her, it feels the industry is making another attempt to show a certain acceptable aesthetic as to what they think women should look like.

It’s extremely disrespectful to do this someone who is so outspoken about her love of women. Beyoncé has earned the right to be accepted in her own skin. She has never tried to be anyone but herself, even in the good old days of Destiny’s Child, and forcing her to look like someone else is just pathetic.

My personal favorite comment on the picture said, “Odd that you would use Jada Pinkett Smith’s face and Halle Berry’s body to create Beyoncé. Shame Shame.” If you didn’t catch it, that was a read W Magazine.
