Sara Petty is restoring smiles to the internet with a perfect record for overthrowing stupid body shaming fashion ‘don’ts’ by smiling in a bikini.
Everyone knows you can’t wear crop a top without some non-entity telling curvier women it’s way too ballsy a move. But Sara could have just worn whatever she wanted in subtle defiance of all this. Instead, she went the epic route and decided to stunt right next to comments like “you over 200 pounds and got the audacity to wear a crop top,” RunwayRiot found. She wisely points out they’re dead wrong, and whether or not they accept the news that no one cares about their beauty standards is irrelevant. They’re about as interesting as other people’s dreams about being a mermaid.
She reposts — with their Twitter handles — the lovely “don’t wear this or the world will end” recommendations, as she assures everyone that she’s not at all worried about what they say not to wear. “Wear whatever the hell you want,” she writes. And yes, plenty of women already do, but it’s helpful nevertheless.
Perhaps these body shamers will all still wonder where on earth a woman’s confidence to bare her midriff comes from. We’ll let them continue their lifelong quests for the answers. But seriously, we want to thank them for their touching fear about what other women “can’t pull off” so that this could happen.

To the middle aged man who just laughed at my weight at the scale, I pity you. I'm strong and beautiful and you're a crusty old ballsack.
