Runway shows have officially gone off the deep end with gluing glitter on faces as of late.
There was glitter riding dangerously close to the eyeballs on models with some black kohl eyeliner at Fausto Puglisi, a fairy-dusted face multi-colored glitter at Burberry (makeup artist, Wendy Rowe,) a thin layer of solid gold (makeup artist, Pat McGrath,) and Yadim’s up the nose around the peeper on half of the face look at Opening Ceremony. (It was hologram, and that was the only makeup on the model’s face.) As far as runway beauty goes, it’s not the zaniest idea, and for a concert, kid’s birthday party, or glue-themed soiree, we think it could work (in small wearable doses.)
