Over here at RunwayRiot HQ, we’re not in the business of drawing lines.
We’d much rather celebrate ERRY-BAWDY over a punch bowl full of bubbly instead of deciding who is an Extra Medium and who is an Extra Extra Medium. But an interesting tweet caught our eye today from one Tiffany Arment, a photographer who captures life’s precious moments. Recently, she took a picture of herself in a basic shirt. Nothing remarkable there except the size: extra-large. She’s not into it. Sizes are so screwed anyway, see evidence here. We dig this advocacy-flavored call to action, though, and when we read it we picture Susan Sarandon’s smirk.
Obviously there’s no wrong way to wear a t-shirt, or anything made from a pile of fabric and the comparing foin ladiez game is tired, but this is interesting.
Dear T-shirt Companies,
This is not an XL. Stop body-shaming women. We are not all stick figures.
