If Amy Poehler in Mean Girls has ever popped into your head when you’ve thought of how Kris Jenner must react when her daughters are busy getting their lives doing stuff with their bods and taking over the world…well…you’re not alone.
But it’s not all hip thrusts for the matriarch, apparently. In a conversation with Maria Shriver at the Architects of Change: The Conversation Series event last night, Kris told Shriver that she’s been less than impressed with some of the stuff her daughters have posed for, saying that some racy spreads have been “cringeworthy,” according to Us Weekly.
She didn’t call out specifics, but she noted that she was completely uninformed about the “martini glass” (it was actually a champagne class) resting atop Kim’s posterior in her controversial Paper cover until Kim went and broke the internet. Maybe if Kris had been given the heads up about the wild, champagne-poppin’ time, she would’ve sent some chaperones (she told Shriver she does this for Kendall and Kylie), and Kim could have avoided the backlash. We’ve seen how little damage control those chaperones do, though, considering Kylie still got to sit in that Interview wheelchair and Kendall’s recently gone “tribal” with Mango.
