If you don’t follow model Chrissy Teigen‘s every move on social media, then you might not know that she can get down with the finer things in life like sewer rat-sized burritos, heavenly cakes topped with fried chicken, and movie theater candy. She’s a regular ‘ole foodie, and she’s come out with a new cookbook so the rest of us can learn to cook and maybe score some arm candy like John Legend.
In an interview about the cookbook, Chrissy expressed to Vogue that she was afraid the book would look like it was made by a phony who wouldn’t touch a carbohydrate with a 10-foot pole. She told the magazine, “My biggest fear was looking like this book was shoved out by some model who pretends to eat pizza and pokes around at things in the kitchen.” She continued, “I wanted to prove to people that I have a real passion and love for food.”
Models can love In-N-Out just as much as the rest of us, y’all, and they don’t need to eat a platter of wings on live television to prove that their diet isn’t similar to a bird’s. Chrissy also shouldn’t have to justify to Vogue that her cookbook is legit, but whatever. Props to Chrissy for being a hot model and giving us recipes for dishes that people will actually want to eat.
Now can we please get a piece of that fried chicken cake, Chrissy? Asking for a friend.
