When I had my clothing line I was inspired by modern women. I called them the Modern Day Warrior Princesses. To me, that means today’s girl. She is the definition of a modern woman and as such is:

• Confident
• Dynamic
• Humane
• Compassionate
• Unstoppable

Unlike the generation of our mothers, grandmothers and the women before them, as Modern Day Warrior Princesses, we have been able to play to the strength of being female, to celebrate our femininity, not to shy away from it or downplay it. We are not strong in spite of our femininity; rather we are even stronger because of it. The more we embrace our femininity the more we are able to see that how we think, our actions and how we present is unique to us and can be a very powerful, magical attribute.

The celebration of fierceness, softness, determination, ingenuity and compassion that makes up the Modern Day Warrior Princess is electric. She is a Modern Day Warrior Princess because she wants it all and can have it all…and she goes and gets it all for herself.  Modern Day Warrior Princesses don’t allow the world or anyone else to put limitations on them! They write their own rules, pave their own way, believe in themselves and in others. I absolutely delight in seeing women basking in their power and femininity, making heads spin. And when I say powerful women, I mean the girl that walks down the street with her head held high and a smile, the woman that holds the door for others, the lady that talks to the person standing alone at the party. Age, income level, job status – they have nothing to do with it. The Modern Day Warrior Princesses running this world are the confident, compassionate women who know they are incredible, radiant beings; in other words; they are in all of us.

So, Modern Day Warrior Princess, let your light shine.  Sparkle like only you can.
