H&M Reportedly Has No Room For Curve Sizes In 11 New York Stores

Remember when we praised H&M for having Ashley Graham in their Studio Collection ads and not making a big deal out of it? While the clothing wasn’t sold in stores, it was still a big step for a curve woman to the face of a non-curvy fashion line. Unfortunately today ABC has reported that H&M has pulled all of its curve sizing from 11 stores.

An H&M representative told Revelist that the basic reasoning for this was to make room for other departments that are expanding like home goods and beauty supplies. This seems like a very odd thing to do, since H&M is not known for their beauty products or home goods, but their clothes! I mean who goes to H&M to decorate their apartment? Not me! I go there to get cute clothes at affordable prices like every other female does.

The fact that they have made curve women less of a priority is upsetting and I hope that more people become upset about this kind of thing because it’s a huge setback for brands to only sell curve clothing online when that’s not the shopping experience that straight-sized women have to deal with.
