How do you pick your spa treatments?
Usually, you choose to get a massage when your back is sore. Or you go in for a facial when there’s something going on with your skin.
But could you imagine getting your blood drawn before your spa appointment and choosing spa treatments that a medical professional recommends based on your needs?
Blood spas. Apparently they’re a thing now.
Spa treatments aren’t just about beauty, they’re about wellness, too. Maybe that’s why these are slowly becoming popular.
So what kind of treatments can you get based on someone looking at your blood?
Ozone Therapy
Ozone Therapy is done in Italy, where 100ml of your blood is drawn (more than what you’d normally donate!) But that’s not the peculiar part. It’s mixed with oxygen and then put back into your body. WHAT?! It’s supposed to help with your immunity, memory and weight loss. If you don’t cringe at this and are down to spend $170, perhaps this treatment is for you.
Chinese Massage
OK, so if you’re not up for getting blood drawn only to have it put back into your body, try a Chinese massage. It’s a massage that focuses on your spine and stomach. The masseuse definitely touches your stomach. I don’t know about you, but if anyone touched my ticklish stomach, I’d be giggling uncontrollably.
Snail Mail Samples
Do you mind sending your blood and possibly a stool sample in the mail? Before you get your treatment in Saint Lucia, send your samples for specialists to analyze so that when you arrive, your treatment options will be available.
I don’t know about you, but I hate needles. I wouldn’t be able to give blood samples unless I absolutely had to for a check up at the doctor’s office.
I’m going to keep spa visits a special treat to myself when I need to relax. Would you let someone analyze your blood for a spa treatment?
