Glasses are one of our favorite accessories, but we totally get that you framed beauties can suffer from some serious struggles.
1. Foundation on the bottom of your frames
Foundation is meant to stay on your face all day long, yeah? But sometimes a bit of it sneaks onto the bottom of your frames. Yikes! Be sure your foundation is set and dry before putting on your glasses.
2. Nose pad marks on your foundation
Whether you have nose pads on your glasses or not, the foundation on that area on your nose where your glasses sit can easily be rubbed off. If it’s not, nose pad dents may show up when you take off your glasses for a moment and take a look in the mirror. Annoying, much?
3. Glasses hiding your eye shadow
Do you ever feel like your glasses hide your sweet eye shadow look? I hate that. Sometimes dramatic eye makeup looks so much better without frames in the way. Try altering your eye makeup for the shape of your frames.
4. Shadow matching your frames
Did you forget for a second what your frames look like? I wore purple eye shadow once with purple frames. It just looked like it was way too much going on at once. Try out a few colors and see what works best for you.
5. Eyelashes hitting your lenses
Do your eyelashes hit your lenses? This only happens to me sometimes when I put mascara on. Be sure you curl those lashes! Curl any fake lashes, too. Because if your actual lashes touch your lenses, falsies will as well.
6. Mascara on your lenses
If your lashes hit your lenses, you may end up with mascara on them, too. Agh! Don’t forget to keep curling those lashes way up there to prevent this from happening. Try mascara formulas that stay put and don’t clump or leave stray dry bits.
7. Getting closer and closer to a mirror
When you don’t have your glasses on and you’re trying to do your eye makeup and people wonder why you’re so close to the mirror. Eye roll. My glasses aren’t on, so how else am I supposed to see?
Glasses can be a pain sometimes, but we’ve all got to see somehow, right?
