In the vein of loving your body and already being beach ready, Golden Confidence threw a body inclusive pool party in Los Angeles that we so very desperately wish we would have been invited to, and wish they would do these more often!

The event was started by body-positive advocate, Essie Golden used #goldenconfidence hashtag (just in case you want to stalk) and according to People said it was designed to, “encourage plus size women everywhere to wear swimwear and feel good about themselves while doing it.” According to Golden, she got messages from women who said they would do it but only if they were surrounded by other women who looked like them to make it more of a safe and confident environment.

It’s a non-judgmental space, you can have fun, chill by the pool and drink, get in the water and did we mention how much fun every seems to be having in these photos? Serious fomo. Golden added, women have traveled from all over the states and even internationally, just to be in a positive space with other women. Many women come alone and leave with new friends. It’s truly incredible what an event like this can do for people. Bravo Essie!
