The seasons all seem to feel the same in Los Angeles, but I still feel like the summer months are creeping up on me. May always goes by quickly, and I wish it wouldn’t because the weather is so lovely. With the transition from Spring to Summer, you get those floral prints and flirty dresses. As much as I love the pastels and a girly feel, I thrive to strike a balance.

As I look through my closet, my eye always gets drawn to darker and solid colors because I love the way I feel in dark clothes. But putting on a floral dress can be fun and it makes me excited for Summer. So for me, I try to find a happy medium between girly and “edgy,” and you can too.

I also love to wear an look that’s easily transitional from day to night. That way, if I am in a rush I can just throw on a jacket and I don’t have to stress about putting together something new. To subtly add some toughness to an outfit I recommend some unique accessories. I love a fun hand chain and a choker. Adding those little things to an outfit can bring it all together.

I recommend wearing one floral print and then throwing solids into your outfit. I love a suede jacket and some cute sporty sneakers like my white Common Projects.
