Bewitching medium for issues that matter, Beyoncé, kicked off her stirring Formation tour in the 305 last night. Dan and Dean Caten of Dsquared2 designed her opening look, and it was somewhat similar, (though less Michael Jackson-y,) to what they designed for her Super Bowl show.
In a press release about it, the truly blessed brand who once coined the hashtag #Dsquaw for their Native American show, said, “We are crazy about Beyoncé, and working with her to create this opening look for the Formation tour is such a huge thrill and honor. The look tells a story, drawing from the motifs of our recent women’s runway collection while, at the same time, visualizing the powerful themes in her new music. It’s really exciting to see it come to life on stage—especially since she opens the show in full Dsquared2.”
