When I think of sequins I think of my prom dress that was Beyonce/Tina Turner inspired. Needless to say, it was a disaster but there are plenty of ways to wear sequins and not look like a caricature. Take a hint from Prabal Gurung’s sexy sequin dresses that either had low v-neck cuts or high slits on the side to keep it fresh.
Open shoulders and off-the-shoulder crop tops are still having a moment on and off the runway. And since they’re so popular they’re now coming out in different textures and materials so you can wear them in spring and summer. It’s an easy way to show a little skin when you have to go work or a meeting but plan on meeting a hot date for drinks later on.
We love a good trend borrowed from the boys, and a modern update to the white collared shirt is just what we were looking for. Plain white, tucked-in shirts are a snooze, so it’s nice to see a classic style with a cool update. You can basically wear with anything—from jeans, leggings, and shorts aka effortlessly chic.
No more of that boring black and white striped pattern that designers keep trying to give to curvy women because they think it will make you look slimmer! Spring is all about the rainbow stripes in bright colors that are perfect for those sunny and breezy days.
