Dounia Tazi exists, and if you didn’t know, then this is a crucial update.
Thank goodness she’s here because her original feed is the kind of relief from the same old things you usually see. She is trotting around online in the flyest of threads, and her posts are bursting with ‘tude and friendly greetings from her tum and stretch marks.
We can appreciate the way she wears a webby top, a bodycon knit and cool tees by staring at her longer than is necessary. Where else would you get your fix for ripped jeans and a t-shirt of Rihsus’s lui cover? Here’s where. We think you should take a few hundred screenshots of the tough gloriousness that is her in a high-waisted bottom. It’s a lot of Forever 21, and she is making it all look hot as hell.

My hometown. 🙂 Hard to look back without thinking of shattered glass at 2 am, temporary father figures, yelling that made my bed shake and the undeniable comfort I felt as I almost welcomed cops into my living room. I held a lot of resentment toward my hometown, pegging it as an indicator for the toxicity of my childhood. Looking back now, I appreciate you for shaping my character. I appreciate comic book club in the library basement, writing poetry against the last book shelf, the one place I found solace. I appreciate the scenic views at the park, Greek food and street fairs with pink lemonade.
