Model Emily Sears Says Body Shamers Make Her Love Herself More

It’s Monday, the world has lost David Bowie, and you likely need some sort of spirit lifter like a shot of tequila or a solid message on why anyone who doesn’t love your body should fall down a moving escalator. We unfortunately can’t get drones to deliver mini bottles of Jose Cuervo to your house, but we can bring you this important message from babely Australian model Emily Sears.

She got real yesterday when she tweeted this message about how the haters are her motivators, and (stop the world), there’s more to a person than their outside shell.

The more body shaming comments I get the more self love I pour into accepting this weird mass of water and cells that carries my inner being

— Emily Sears (@tweetemilysears) January 10, 2016

Body shaming models no matter what their size unfortunately isn’t a revolutionary concept. It’s cool that Sears can turn something so negative into a positive and remind us all that there’s more to life than looking hot, even for someone who makes bones off of her body.

Keep pouring the self love, Emily, and we’ll keep pouring the drinks.
